ARCHITECTURE          FORM AND FUNCTION

The exterior envelope of a dwelling is an essential element that connects to the interior space and aligns with its exterior surroundings. Shape, form, scale and proportion all act as key elements to support a cohesive design. Graphic design plays into the design with the placement of doors and windows. Material choices and application can make or break the look of a house. Transparency in. Transparency out. Windows allow for the connection to the outdoors while providing a glimpse to the inner world from the outside. Natural light penetration is essential for a healthy feel within your home.  Exterior lighting brings a home to life at dusk and transforms the aesthetic quality within its setting.  Good design allows for a seamless blend of Architecture and Interior design.

INTERIOR DESIGN      WRAP YOURSELF  IN  HAPPINESS

In my opinion, good design is the byproduct or outcome of a clear understanding of the task at hand. Design may be subjective. Good design is evident. Creating interior spaces that just look and feel right takes considerable thought.  Integration with the building architecture requires the skill to visualize and merge interior with structure.  Functional planning, practical use of space, window placement and lighting all culminate into a space that works. My objective is to create the backdrop, the platform for people's lives at home.  Appealing to the human senses and to elevate the design consciousness of my clients.

LANDSCAPE        GOING  BEYOND

Landscape connects the building to its surroundings. Living areas can flow to a rear yard with ease., Window placement allow the outside to be appreciated from many areas within. Hard landscape and soft landscape create the sense the house extends beyond it's walls.  Linking building materials with the surrounding area blurs the lines between built and organic spaces.
